Active OOSH Mandatory Training Requirements

To be successful in securing a position with Active OOSH, you must obtain and provide evidence of the following:

  • Working with Children Check valid for paid work provided before your start date.

  • Food Handler Training – completed before your start date.

  • Child Safety Training – completed before your start date.

  • First Aid & CPR – completed within 1 month of your start date.

  • CHCPRT025: Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk – completed within 1 month of your start date.

Please note: Successful applicants are responsible for any associated costs of the above requirements. If you are offered a position, Active OOSH will provide details of the required courses and recommend suitable training providers.

Availability

During the school terms we operate Before School Care and After School Care. This means we roster for a morning shift and an afternoon shift. If you work both shifts in the same day, you will be paid a Split Shift Allowance. During Vacation Care, there are no split shifts.

  • Active OOSH services open at either 6am or 6:30am and close at either 6pm or 6:30pm.

  • Morning shifts (during the school term) usually finish by 9:30am.

  • Afternoon shifts (during the school term) usually start around 2:00pm. 

(Note, this does not apply to Head Office positions)

Please list two professional references. A professional reference is someone who held the position of supervisor, manager, director or other leadership position during your time of employment in the workplace. At least one reference should be from your most recent or current role. 

If you have no previous work experience, have recently left school, or have exceptional circumstances (e.g. a long, explained career break), character references may be acceptable. Character references should not be from family members
